Artists often draw inspiration from nature and other artists, resulting in a diverse artistic expression that resonates with one’s being. The lived experience of one’s journey through life is substantial for artistic endeavours. The geographical landscapes, spiritual beliefs, and historical narratives, etc. play an important role in shaping how we interact with our surroundings. These interactions are in turn exemplified in the artworks for others to relate and celebrate . The consciousness play a pivotal role in grasping the essence of art.
North-east India is situated at the foot hills of the Himalayan belt. One can find similarities between the people and culture of the Himalayas in the North and the North -east of India. If these similarities were to be artistically assimilated, we would have something which is rare and rich, like the precious ores found in the deep crevices of the Earth. Art and culture unites its people and brings about collective consciousness, which are a very powerful precursor for any civilisation. The fusion of Himalayan influences in the north-east region of the country creates a distinctive cultural tapestry that not only preserves traditional practices but also encourages innovation and contemporary interpretations in the diverse art scene, across the region.
