Manash Taludar has been passionate about art since he was just 5 years old, showing remarkable creativity even at such a tender age. When he enrolled in the prestigious Scindia School in Gwalior during the 4th standard, he embraced art as one of his favourite hobbies, which soon blossomed into a serious pursuit. Surrounded by fellow students who shared a range of interests, he focused on honing his artistic skills, drawing inspiration from both nature and the vibrant surroundings of the school. His early work caught the attention of teachers and classmates alike, leading him to begin participating in various competitions. From an early age, he consistently won prizes, further establishing his reputation among his peers as a budding artist, and inspiring others to appreciate the beauty and expression that art can provide.

With age, he evolved artistically and began to represent his school in various inter-school competitions, showcasing his talent and dedication. Some of the prestigious schools he visited for these art competitions included the renowned OP Jindal School in Raigarh, the esteemed Mussoorie International School, and the illustrious Mayo College Girl’s School, along with a couple of other notable school. He felt privileged to have exceptional teachers at his school who played a vital role in nurturing his skills and guided him through his artistic journey, helping him achieve significant growth as an artist. Their encouragement and constructive feedback allowed him to explore different mediums and techniques, ultimately leading him to discover and refine his own unique style that set him apart from his peers.

A significant turn of his career was achieved in the year 2006-07, when he managed to bag 3 international prizes while still at school, marking a pivotal moment in his artistic journey. Two of these prestigious awards came from the Olympic Committee in association with the Young Polonia Foundation in Warsaw, Poland, in the open international Drawing and Painting competition for children and youth titled “Sports in Imagination.” This competition provided a platform for young artists to express their creativity and explore the theme of sports through their unique perspectives. The other international prize was a consolation prize granted by the Canadian Embassy in New Delhi, which recognized his work under the compelling theme “Impact of Climate Change.” This award not only showcased his talent but also highlighted his awareness of pressing global issues, reflecting his ability to engage with significant themes through art.

After migrating from the school, he was determined to pursue his passion for Designing at one of the foremost Design institutes in India. However, during the application process, one of the interviewers candidly remarked that his portfolio of works, although unique, did not quite align with the expectations of the prestigious Designing Institutes. Undeterred by this feedback, Manash’s deep-seated passion for art propelled him to apply to all the pioneer art Colleges in India, each known for their rich history and commitment to nurturing creativity. With persistence and dedication, he submitted meticulously curated portfolios showcasing his best works. Eventually, his efforts bore fruit when he received the long-awaited acceptance letter from the College of Art in Delhi, a place renowned for its vibrant artistic community and innovative approach to education. Excited and hopeful, he settled in Delhi, fully committed to pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, where he aimed to hone his skills, explore diverse artistic expressions, and ultimately make a meaningful contribution to the world of art and design.
