Located in Panbazar’s Chinaki Kitap Ghar, a neighbourhood steeped in book culture and creative exchange, Slate Nest opened its doors to the public in late 2024. What began with conversations, workshops, and an inaugural exhibition has grown into a vibrant space for exhibitions, workshops, talks, open studios, and more

EXHIBITIONS
In our Viewing Room, we host contemporary art exhibitions that foreground deep thinking, material engagement, and artistic dialogue. These exhibitions bring together work by emerging and established artists, and they are open for viewing or booking a visit. You can explore current displays, experience ongoing projects, or plan a time to visit.
WORKSHOPS & SESSIONS
Slate Nest runs hands-on creative workshops and open sessions that are designed to make space for experimentation. These range from material-based making to collaborative explorations in process. They are open to participants at different levels. The workshops welcome everyone from curious beginners to practicing artists.
Why Slate Nest
As a creative platform, Slate Nest is more than a gallery. It is a gathering place where ideas unfold across disciplines. Ideas also unfold across mediums. Our programming explores existential and socio-political themes through art, while also creating room for informal encounters, learning, and cross-community engagement.
